Together with Exile Hub
In 2025, we joined hands with the Exile Hub team to share our podcasting skills and experiences with enthusiastic and talented members of the Myanmar community from Chiang Mai and Mae Sot, Thailand. Altogether, over 40 community members participated in the five-day training, which was held separately in Mae Sot and Chiang Mai.

Feedback Notes from some of the participants :
- Although podcasting was completely new to me at first, by the end of the training I clearly understood the process and felt confident that I could produce my own podcast.
- Throughout the five-day training, each session was shared and explained very effectively. I learned many new things and felt very satisfied with the overall learning experience.
- It was also valuable to meet podcast enthusiasts of different ages who were seriously interested in learning podcasting.
- For me, attending the podcast training brought a lot of knowledge. I learned about content creation, audio editing, and ways to attract listeners. Starting from the basics, I gained the ability to begin creating a professional podcast.

Each group consisted of four to five members, and everyone was required to contribute to the production of a final assignment podcast in order to receive a certificate of completion on the final day. This process ensured that participants were ready to collaborate with different talents and perspectives.
Days 1 – 3 : Covered the following topics:
- Script and show concept paper development
- Sound design and editing theory
- Practical recording sessions in the studio room
- Social media platform management for distribution
Day 4 and 5 : Welcome to the studio
Everyone was excited to create their first-ever podcast. Some groups produced discussion-based podcasts, others created radio drama–style episodes, and some groups selected a member to present a personal monologue while the rest supported as a production team. Each group’s output was beautiful and meaningful.
Teamwork, passion, and enthusiasm filled the room. There were intense script discussions, moments of negotiation, and the familiar surprise of hearing one’s own voice for the first time.
On training final day – Participants finalized their episodes and prepared to receive honest feedback from fellow podcasters in the room. Each episode ranged from 13 to 20 minutes. For a first step into podcasting, most groups did an excellent job.
Beyond the training
Selected outstanding and committed new podcasters will have the opportunity to collaborate with the BPN team to produce their own podcast shows and promote them on BPN platforms, reaching tens of thousands of regular listeners each month.

Open for Collaboration in 2026 : Capacity Building for the Community Story Telling
The Burma Podcast Network team is open to collaboration with social impact–driven partner organizations to amplify the voices of youth professionals, academics, rights advocates, and artists by transforming their experiences and ideas into meaningful podcast series.
BPN has collaborated with various international organizations to reach millions of listeners through content on landmine safety education, mental health awareness, digital safety education, and more.
This is a commonly used proverb, but if you teach people how to fish, they can feed themselves. In the same way, podcasting equips communities with the skills to tell their own stories and amplify voices that are often unheard.
